Initial Knowledge-First Assessment

Overview

Most AI initiatives inside knowledge-intensive firms stall at pilot stage. Not because the technology is wrong. Because the knowledge architecture underneath it is ungoverned - and until that's quantified, technology investment accelerates the problem rather than resolving it.

The Initial Knowledge-First Assessment maps how knowledge is currently produced, stored, and recirculated across your operations. It measures the efficiency cost, the recoverable value, and the governance risk of the pattern it finds. It closes with a single Key Decision that sequences everything that follows.

The assessment is the entry point into our Knowledge-First Operations™ framework.

AUD 14,000–18,000. Four to six weeks.

Outcomes
  • You will understand where knowledge leaks - and what it's costing.

  • You will own an assessment of knowledge assets against revenue, cost, and governance.

  • You will know which governance gaps become material as AI deployment continues.

  • You will have a single Key Decision to focus everything that follows.

Deliverables
1
20min Qualification Call

20-minute call to confirm the diagnostic is the right entry point. Initial discussion regarding where knowledge already flows, where it stalls, and how centralising knowledge could unlock new value. No scope is agreed before this conversation.

Each section presents Findings, Immediate Priorities, and Strategic Tasks. The report closes with a single Key Decision framed against the specific findings of your practice.

3
Typical Scope of Work

Partner briefing and scoping discussion. Structured practitioner interviews across nominated knowledge types. Knowledge recirculation and concentration analysis. Consideration of existing  projects. Assessment report preparation.

Map.
Measure.

The assessment takes four to six weeks and typically runs at one-quarter the cost of a light AI deployment.

The Key Decision it produces focuses everything that follows - alongside MadeWithData or when directing a different vendor.

The Initial Knowledge-First Assessment is the diagnostic that reveals what your knowledge production process is worth and prioritises your next steps.
